Privacy notice

How NashvilleMuslims.org uses information for its directory and submission service.

Updated November 1, 2026.

Submissions and corrections

We collect the resource name, description, area, public contacts, website, event details and permission confirmation you provide. Corrections may include the affected listing ID. Optional follow-up names and emails are private.

Submissions are stored in an administrator-only review inbox. Public fields may be edited and published after review. Private follow-up details and editorial notes are excluded from generated publication drafts. Administrator notifications include the submission title, type, received time and private review link.

Spam prevention and technical data

The form uses timing checks, a hidden spam field, duplicate detection, rate limits and Cloudflare Turnstile. Rate limiting uses a salted hash of the connecting IP; this feature does not save the raw IP in submission records. Temporary retry information lasts about 15 minutes; duplicate-check data lasts about a day.

Turnstile processes browser and network signals, including IP address and browser information, to detect bots. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Hosting and security services may retain technical access logs.

Accounts, comments and cookies

WordPress stores account details and uses authentication cookies when you sign in. Password recovery sends a link to the account email. If comments or reviews are enabled and you post one, WordPress may store your name, email, content, IP and browser information; the text and display name may be public. Optional comment cookies can remember your details.

Maps and external services

OpenStreetMap tiles are loaded by your browser, sharing network information with the tile service. Visitor-initiated address searches may send the entered terms to the map lookup service. External links have their own privacy practices. See OpenStreetMap’s privacy policy.

Storage and backups

The site is hosted with Namecheap. Authorized administrators can access stored records. UpdraftPlus stores website and database backups in the administrator’s connected Google Drive. Current settings retain up to 14 scheduled database copies and four scheduled file copies. Information removed from the live site may remain in backup copies until they rotate.

Retention and requests

Published information remains until updated or removed. Private submissions and editorial records remain available for review and follow-up; these records currently have no fixed automatic deletion schedule. Account and comment data may remain while the account or content is retained.

To ask about your information, request a correction or request removal, contact the directory. Identify the relevant page or submission and provide a private reply address if needed. We may need to confirm that a request relates to you. Some information may be retained for security, administrative or applicable obligations. Do not submit sensitive documents in public fields.
